VolunteerDo you have time to volunteer during the 2014 People of African Descent, Allies, and Friends Conference?  We are looking for people with kind hearts and generous spirits to volunteer their time to help others during the Conference in Atlanta, GA (May 15, 16 and 17).  If you have a few minutes, a few hours, or a few days, we could use your help.  Volunteer opportunities include (but are not limited to): conference registration, worship (usher, greeter, acolyte), workshops, audio visuals, hospitality, VIP Buddies, and so much more.

Registration volunteers will check attendees in, provide them with their conference credentials, and answer basic questions on the worship, plenary and breakout sessions. Registration volunteers are asked to work in 2 hour blocks, starting Thursday afternoon through mid-day Saturday.

Volunteers are needed as greeters, ushers, and acolytes.  Greeters will welcome conference attendees as they enter the worship space and make them feel invited, valued, and loved.  Kind hearts, voices, and presence are needed to facilitate this holy moment.  Ushers will guide attendees to the appropriate seating areas in the worship space, help with the offering, and direct communion.  Acolytes will help hold the communion elements and assist in serving communion.
